(STORY CITY, IOWA) The Jeremy Grady Racing team tackled a pair of regular shows in their home state of Iowa over the weekend. On Friday, May 11, Jeremy Grady was in action at the Iowa State Fair Speedway in Des Moines. Having won the prior two weekends at the facility, Jeremy and Team 43 were looking to make it three in a row. However, a fifth place finish in the heat race on the dry, slick oval made for a quite an uphill battle in the A-Main. After rolling off from the inside of the seventh row for the feature and dropping back to fifteenth in the early stages of the race, Jeremy was able to gain a few spots to wind up twelfth in the final finishing order.

It was off to the Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City on Saturday for another weekly show. Jeremy started from the inside of the third row in his heat race, but put on an impressive show in the preliminary event by getting up to the second spot. The Story City, Iowa native once again started fifth in the A-Main, but quickly found himself battling for the top spot. Jeremy battled Kelly Tapper and Darrell DeFrance for the point for about fifteen laps, until DeFrance pulled away for the win. Team 43 brought home a solid third place finish in the race, which was their fourth Top Five effort and ninth Top Ten performance in only ten events this season!

The driver known as the "Story City Outlaw" will be very busy this upcoming week, as a pair of Deery Brothers Summer Series shows are on tap, as well as a couple of weekly races. The action kicks off tonight, May 15 at the 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa with a $2,000 to win Deery Brothers event. The Quad City Speedway in East Moline, Illinois will then host the running of the $2,000 to win feature event, which was rain-postponed from April 22, on Wednesday, May 16. Following those two Deery Brothers races, the Jeremy Grady Racing team will return to the Iowa State Fair Speedway and the Hamilton County Speedway over the weekend.
