Jason
is always the first to say that going racing with Jeremy has brought
him some of the most memorable moments in his life (family and golf
aside that is). The East Moline Deery Series win in 2007 and the fourth
place finish in West Burlington to win the 2007 Deery Series Summer
Championship were definitely two of the more emotional wins of last
year. There is also a mutual recognition of integrity between Jason
and Jeremy that makes them a strong team. Jason also appreciates Jeremy's
willingness and ability to make changes in his driving style as well
as his openness to new ideas. In this sport you have to have patience
and the 2008 season is going to be a test of that. Jason's plans this
year are to help Jeremy run for the Rookie of the year title in the
WDRL and be competitive at this more advanced level of racing.
You
could say that I'm the voice of Team 43 and I have to admit I love it.
The guys may give me a hard time and yes I usually deserved it but I
couldn't ask for a better group of guys to race with or friends to have
my back. (Guys you can put the knives down.) That's what makes Team
43 unique, we can have fun with each other and know when it's time to
get down to work and go racing. (You can bet your life that the "Outlaw"
will remind us if we don't get serious.) Besides racing, the guys let
me have a little free time in between making sandwiches and getting
the line up. I like to walk and listen to music, see new things and
have girl time with Cassandra. All in all I have it pretty good. I'm
the team cheerleader and love to see the guys be competitive and finish
well. At the same time I could never find the same camaraderie or friendship
anywhere else. So thanks guys, I'm just luck to be along.
Cassie
is a Freshman at Gilbert High School this year. Her hobbies include
reading, Myspace, hanging out with friends and texting. She also loves
to randomly drive around and listen to loud music. Her favorite race
track is Maquoketa - she loved watching Jeremy fall off the end, sorry
"Outlaw" but it was pretty funny. Her most memorable moments
with Jeremy are when he road her moped, knees touching his elbows and
the time he wore her long black witches hair(it was a nice change going
from no hair to lots of it). Cassie has a dog Cleo and three cats that
keep her company at night. What she loves most about her dad is the
brand new car he bought her, she knew it didn't come from me, need I
say more. Seriously, she wouldn't trade the late night talks she has
with her dad and loves his honesty. Cassie is a trooper and joins us
for as many races as she can.
Introducing
Ammi and Danielle Grady. Ammi, Jeremy's wife, has spent more than her
share of the past few years at the track. To call racing a hobby would
be an understatement, for their family it's a way of life. When not
at the track Ammi works at Colorbiotics as a logistics manager. In short
she schedules inbound and outbound freight. Her spare time is filled
with spending time with family and having fun with Danielle. She enjoys
water skiing, traveling and shopping when not at the race track or chasing
after Danielle. Ammi's most vivid memory is of Jeremy's winning the
2007 Deery Brothers Summer Series Championship in West Burlington. The
excitement and the relief of winning was definitely one to remember.
Meet
the Adam's Family. Tracie (Bubba's wife, you are a saint) and Sydney
(Bubba's 13 month old daughter). During the day, Tracie is a dental
assistant with Dr. Lance Crawford in Ames. After hours Tracie has her
hands full with daughter Sydney and has little time for anything but
chasing after an independent minded (she got that from her dad), rambunctious
toddler. Tracie makes it to as many races as she can and always wants
the race report if not in attendance. Tracie is known for her fashion
sense and keeps Team 43 and especially me looking good. Tracie and Sydney
have been a welcome addition to our team and the guys especially like
how Tracie per motes their independence to take care of themselves.
If asked Tracie would tell you that all she does is stay out of the
way and look good. The truth of the matter is that she is captain of
the "Outlaw's" cheer squad and will pitch in to help out whenever
she is needed. 
If
you've been lucky enough to catch up to Bubba or not gotten voice mailed
when you'd like to talk to him then you've had a good day. Saying that
Bubba is constantly on the go or talking on the phone would be an understatement.
Bubba is the crew chief and set up man for Team 43 and he is always
trying to stay on top of all the new technology. Bubba also spends three
days a week for the last ten years at the Boone Fire Station working
as a fire fighter and EMT (I sure hope we don't need to use Bubba's
skills but it's nice to have him around just in case.) In Bubba's days
off he makes bodies for Harris Racing and also has a safety consulting
business. And don't forget Tracie and Sydney, they like to see him too.
Bubba also enjoys golf, he fits right in and has been a welcome addition
to the team. Like the rest of the crew, Bubba was thrilled with Jeremy's
2007 Deery Series Championship and is looking to 2008 to be a successful
one for the "Outlaw."
Dano
is the young gun of Team 43 and leads the busy life of a full time student
at ISU. Dano is a junior in Public Relations and Marketing and is hoping
to finish up and get the heck out of school soon. Dano also works in
Des Moines at Capital First Network where he is a loan adviser. (If
you know Dano, envisioning him wearing a tie everyday is hard.) In between
work and school Dano participates in the usual college events of girl
watching, five o’ clock somewhere activities and holding down
his bed. Dano also golf’s and enjoys our trips to new race tracks.
2008 will bring a lot of traveling and Dano should get his fill of new
and exciting places.
Introducing
Cory Kessler, the newest member to Team 43. Cory joined us at the end
of last year and must have thought we weren't too darn bad because he's
back for another year. Cory met Jeremy through his job at 3E, an electrical
supplier where he is in outside sales. Leave it to the two guys to start
talking racing and the next thing you know Cory is a new crew member.
Cory had spent four previous years helping out Chris and Chad Simpson
who also race in the WDRL series so Cory knew exactly what he was getting
himself into. Cory also enjoys golf, imagine that, I think that is a
prerequisite to be on Team 43. Cory has also coached his twelve year
old sons tackle football team and was especially fond of the early morning
practice sessions after a late night of racing. We are glad to have
Cory with us for a second year and hope he stays around for many more.
